A couple of years ago I, and two friends, booked a guide who drove our car around the battlefield and gave a personalized ninety minute tour. It was the best experience we have ever had at Gettysburg because he brought us to places we had never seen. Is this what your tour guides do?
Craig, our standard tour of Antietam is roughly 2 to 2 1/2 hours long. Our guides can take you around in your own car, or they can lead on on various trails or parts of the field. We offer many different tours, but to answer your question, our standard tours are quite similar to the tours given at Gettysburg.
We would like a guided tour today. Available?
Because the guides are heavily involved in programs and interpretation during the 150th anniversary, no tours are being scheduled. Tours will resume after anniversary weekend. We apologize for any inconvenience.
I am planning a visit to Antietam Battlefield on 4-27-12 and would like to schedule a guided tour . I anticipate arriving at the battlefield between 8:30 am and 9:00am. There are four (4) in our party. And our guide preference is Mike Gamble. How do we go about scheduling the tour and make the payment?
Thank you,
Gary

You mentioned a battlefield tour via bicycle. How long is the bicycle tour, and does it cover the same areas as the Standard tour?
Andy,
Sorry for the late reply. We have a limited number of guides who offer bike tours, but the tours typically follow the Standard tour route. Be mindful that the terrain south of Bloody Lane can make a bike tour arduous. It is strongly encouraged that visitors interested in a bike tour first contact the Antietam Bookstore to determine the availability of guides.
I would like to arrange a tour for 5 on Septmber 27.
Please contact me at your earliest convenience.
Thank you.

Hello Guides,
Some of you all know me as a volunteer at the Battlefield. Im looking for some advanced info from you all. Im in Phi Alpha Theta at Shepherd and will be assisting with their symposium. I was wondering if you had a guide that is knowledgeable on Clara Barton and women in the war.
Josh
My wife and I are interested in the standard tour. What would be the cost? it is just the two of us and we wouldn’t mind being put in with a group
Thanks
Hello, we are planning a large Veterans motorcycle ride next year, how would a private 2 hour tour work for this, would we need to rent a car? there would be at least 30 ppl, some veterans and family members and some civilians and do you charge per person and then charge for guides? also do veterans or military get a discount? thank you!
Danielle or Hunter. Please send me the confirmation email for the tour on Sunday 9/30. (Also, the tour guides name and contact info) Thanks, Joe DeBilio
My wife and I visit Gettysburg every year and we schedule a trip to a different battlefield as part of it during the month of August. We have already taken the tour of the Antietam battlefield with one of your guides. The question I have for this year is do you have guides available for just a tour of the South Mountain battlefields? Thanks.
Nice blog yyou have
